Silly as it sounds I still use a DOS version of MetaStock (3.02) for better graphics and writing macros.

"Still" is a misnomer. I had been using MetaStock on Windows XP until last week. I contracted a virus and ultimately had to format and do a clean re-install. Just about everything is back up and running ..............EXCEPT MetaStock DOS where I get the message in the subject line.

Having used it for four years on XP, I know it will work.

I suspect it's some lines I may need to type in my autoexec.bat file but I'm not well versed.

Any brief guidance would be MOST APPRECIATED!

I'm sorry, but while I did support the dos version of metastock when I started with the company, it has been years since I worked with it. At a guess, I would suggest it is looking for a temp folder but I'm not positive. We don't even have the manuals for the dos version any more so I can't look it up. I'm sorry I can not be of more service
