Using the Explorer on composite securities

If I'm not mistaken, you can't use the Explorer on composite securities. For instance, in the same folder, I create the security AA, and a composite security AA/.DJI. When I open the Explorer, I will see AA, but not AA/.DJI. Am I right on this? Is there an easy way to explore on composite securities?
