Hello everybody.
I just signed up for the monthly trial of Datalink (European stocks). I noticed the closing prices are dividend-back-adjusted but I would like to know which method is used.
Indeed, Yahoo data is also dividend-back-adjusted but the adjusted closing price is different from the adjusted closing from datalink.
I'd be glad to know why this difference exists and which method is better.
(I have found web pages explaining yahoo's method, but not for Datalink.)
Also, on a more minor note, I'm very surprised Datalink did not adjust their data when, in 1999, most european countries adopted the Euro currency. All Belgian stocks, for example, suddenly saw their value divided by 40.3399 on that day... Any easy way to correct that ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Ooops
