Hi, I really really feel that Metastock NEEDS floating windows for us to use with our multiple monitors. Esignal has them, Tradestation has them, IB does, and many more. Please Metastock, implement these.

Thanks!

I agree, and second the request (which I made months ago as well) - I run 4 LCD monitors on my system and MS is pretty clunky on a multi-monitor system. I'm considering trying a virtual-machine setup to run multiple copies in multiple windows to fake it for the time being.

Don't hold your breath, though; look at the "big" version 10 release - virtually nothing useful added after at least two years since v9.

Multi-monitor support would be great, as would a rewrite to take advantage of the new dual-core and quad-core processors. But I've seen posted several times that MS is still running on a clunky decade-old Win architecture, so I'd be surprised if it could even take advantage of the hyperthreading that's been available in processors for years.

I'd love to see a big, significant, ground-up rewrite that incorporates the many features we've been asking for, and uses the processor architectures and power available; I'm surely not motivated to upgrade from 9.1 now, especially with the new user-handcuff protection schemes introduced in v10.

Lotus, Ashton-Tate and Wordstar Corp. can all serve as examples of what happens to "invincible" products/companies when they get complacent and sluggish.
