I'm new to Metastock 10 EOD. How does one make a portfolio sheet? That is, how does one track purchase dates, number of shares, sale dates, number of shares sold, roi, p&l, days in the trade and so forth? If this is discussed in faq, I'm sorry I missed it.
Thanks for your help...

hey montana,
first of all welcome. second, one makes a portofolio sheet in excel. Due the fact that excel exists (thank u Bill) metastock 10 is a great program if we ignore some not to pleasent things wich could and probably will make u broke if u follow them ;). And now if u want to know what real traders do first time after installing metastock, here it is: deleting all useles blackbox or not "enhancements"
have fun

hey montana.... portfolio's are not easy to achieve in meta itself.... you could create a template along with indicators to visually graph those parameters you mentioned, but odds are thats not what you have in mind.....
the closest thing going to a true portfolio would be some of roys trade equity deals.... look close at the codes and you could refashion the GV.GetVar to match your interests.... but odds are that isn't what your after either.....
there has been some talk of true portfolio creation in meta, that has yet to be.... until that day some of the free portfolio sites on the net or excel might have to suffice.... btw, google has a free version of excel on its site......h
