I have been a MS9.1 EOD user since MArch this year. I recently purchased a stock trading system that requires a nightly scan of all stocks for certain conditions.
Problem I am having is the with keeping the local data files (The files that were created when I installed the Reuters Historical data disk) with the proper symbols and company names. I regularily update the symbol database from the Downloader. I just realized that this does NOT update the local file lists.
How do I (or can I ) easily create update local data files from the downloaded sysbol list?

The easiest is in the Downloader, File > Open. And select the securities and change the symbol. Unfortunately there is no fast way to do it, unless you delete and re-create all new securities.
