Take the Dow Jones Industrial, an index whose quotation comprises five digits (actually, there are many world stock indexes with this feature).
If I choose a small font like the default "Arial 10" no trouble, the vertical scale would show the data entirely. But you may realize it would be to small a font for a baby boomer... so here we are, let's double click and choose a larger font: "Arial Bold 16". All right, the figures look larger, but due to the fixed width of the vertical scale Metastock show them divided by 100 (or 10, or 1000).
I suppose there wouldn't be this problem should it be possible to enlarge the vertical scale width, say by simply drag and drop its border...
