I have an Expert that adds a symbol above or below the price based upon certain criteria. Most of the time the symbols are displayed correctly on the chart; however, there are times the symbols change. I may leave the program open and work in this program or work on other programs. Sometime when I look back at the chart the symbols will change to a letter, etc. I just upgraded to a new machine and its doing the same thing as the old machine. How do I correct this issue?
This may have been answered in the forum already. If so please direct me to the link.
Thanks!

To clear up this issue you need to install the Equis font in Windows. Us the following steps.
To re-install the Equis true type font:
1. Close MetaStock
2. Go into My Computer | Control Panel | Fonts folder.
3. Once the fonts folder is open go into File | Install New Font.
4. In the box listed Folders, double click onto this path; C:\\Program Files\\Equis\\MetaStock.
5. When you double click onto the MetaStock folder in the "List of fonts" box above EQUIS(True Type) will be listed.
6. Left click to highlight EQUIS (True Type) and then hit ok.
7. Close out of the Fonts window by hitting the "X" in the top right hand corner.
8. Now re-open MetaStock and you should have the correct symbols back.

I always thought this was due to a memory problem, too many charts open, or too many other programs running
