I have Metastock 8.0 so I can't use the security-function. I have tried to create a system tester that only buys according to my rules IF the market is also going up. It doesn't work :(
I have created a P-variable that is the CLOSE price. I plot that into the index. In system tester I write: .... AND Mov(P,200,S) > Ref(Mov(P,200,S),-1)
System tester produces no signals although there should be signals. Is the code right?
And another thing: How can I do a 25 % trailing stop loss? Now I am using PriceChannelHigh(180)*0.75 and that is OK but just wondering....

I don't think the P variable worked in version 8.0. I think that problem was supposed to be fixed in 8.01 but I have have 9.1 and still can't get it to work. I haven't tried too hard as the Security() function does work so the P variable isn't as essential as it was on earlier versions.
