Patrick, Speaking again in regards to the GV.DLL (A little off topic) does Metastock have in its plans in the future to add more basic Pascal programming in formulas? Maybe as a patch or update? Just adding thing like a pascal loop, input or output would be a big improvement I think. Nothing over the top just a few extra bells for Metastock. The basic are already there in metastock.

GV" dll, that is, unless your version is interchangable[/quote wrote:
Of course, my though was to keep the existing functions unchanged/improved if possible and then add on new things to it. So ultimately I'm trying to make them interchangable. the reason being that there are already enough mysterious dll's going around and I don't want to add more confusion by creating yet another dll that does almost the same thing as another one ... And you would end up with all the support questions

Marilyn and I have been pushing/bugging our new Product manager to give the dev kit away for free with the next version. So far it seems that we only succeded in making the application process for the dev kit obsolete ( Only for the read version of course ). I do not believe it is possible to improve/update the MFL to the extent of a language like C++ and therefore think that the dev kit is that patch you are referring to. Patrick :

Letting the cat out of the bag A theory that is indeed sometimes bruited about is that this phrase refers to the removal of the infamous tool of punishment, the cat o’ nine tails, from its canvas bag in preparation for shipboard punishment. But this doesn’t fit the meaning of the phrase, to disclose some secret, as punishment was made as public as possible in order to deter others. On the other hand, it would be possible to imagine a situation in which an officer’s discovering the truth behind some nefarious activity that would result in punishment could cause a sailor to remark, “That's let the cat out of the bag”. :smt079
