Hello,
I am using Metastock Pro with QCharts as the data service. On lets say 1 out of 3 nights, I am unable to download most of the data in a list I have labeled "big enough stocks"...which is just stocks that are the result of an exploration finding stocks above x dollars per share and some minumum volume.
Anyway, most of the tickers return "no data received"...some do update. Then almost always the next day its no problem. Ugh!
Any thoughts?
Thanks...

Qcharts has some serious reputation for having servers down ...
Check your continuumclient.ini file ( try just deleting it first and then start metastock or the downloader )
See what servers you are trying to connect to, check their website to see which servers are working properly ...
Good luck ;)

I tried that, and then tried replacing the top server in the .ini file with a known active server...no luck yet...continuing to troubleshoot....

Then there is one messed up file in your "big enough stock" ...
If its not too much of a trouble, delete the whole folder, run your filter again and recreate that list ...
If it is too much of a trouble thenn ... let me think :D
Though # 1 : Close everything and search for ~.MSFL* and delete all the files you find.
