Rank: Newbie Groups: Registered, Registered Users Joined: 2/13/2005(UTC) Posts: 2		Cannot open the file in the Downloader. Using METASTOCK 7.22 with MS Windows XP. After attempt to open file in the Downloader 7.22 program exits. It was not a case with my older computer before everything was working.

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Registered, Registered Users, Subscribers Joined: 9/8/2004(UTC) Posts: 2,266 Was thanked: 1 time(s) in 1 post(s)		1) Does it matter which folder you open the data from ? 2) Also do other parts of the program work ( can you download data, can you create a new file) if the answer is yes you mostly have a corrupted data folder, and the easiest solution would be to delete it and recreate it if not too much trouble. If it does not matter I would reinstall the downloader If you do not want to reinstall the Downloader or If you do not want to recreate your folder then you should contact Equis support.

This started happening when I got a new computer running Windows XP Pro. I'm running Downloader version 7.2...Please help = this is driving me crazy! P.s- other parts of the program work....i can create files, securities and download data - just can't OPEN any datasheets.... Thanks! Sparrow
