So it is you that creates and lock all these usernames everyday   More seriously the support rep must have said that because people are very disappointed with the chat as it is right now. So they try to save you the trouble ... We will try to get the chat working. I have 15 days to design a fully functional flash website and I'm only working on the main page  But when I'm done with that I will work on the community. Patrick

Hummmmmm. Now that you mention it, I do remember hearing a sweeper running in the background. Yes - I'm sure that was it. I tried the ChatFix and it didn't help. I will try the regedit doo-hickey. RC

Easier than the registry thing, just hold the shift key on your keyboard before clicking on the chat button ... Let me know how it goes. Patrick

Hey guys: I deleted the entire key in my registry; no good. Then I held the shift key while clicking the MS Community icon - still no good. I get the same message. Now that I've thought about it for a while, the janitor theory is sounding more credible. After I was told to forget about the MS Community, I got a great tip on removing stubborn grease stains from my burbur carpet. RC

I just figured it out. I was using a nickname that was too common I guess. Here is what I used: Nickname = Ray Password = ******** Server = community.equis.com Then I changed it to something more unique: Nichname = Ray2733 Password = ******* Server = community.equis.com Popped me right in. RC

No problem buddy: :D You have been extremely helpful. And I'm very impressed at how quickly you reply, particularly on a saturday. Please don't mistake my tendency to be a smartass with even a hint of dissatisfaction. I love MS and I'm having a great time with it. I mean, except for the number of zeros after the decimal thing. Good job! RC

I just clicked on Symbol Palette while holding down the shift key and a piping-hot pizza was delivered to my door in 30 minutes or less. Best of all - I billed it to Patrick! UUUUmmmmMMMmmmmm. Pepperoniiiiiiiiii!

It figures... no option for super supreme. LOL! Well, you go back to the registry and modify to super supreme. But, you'd still just get the pep lovers. It's all good if Patrick pays for it!
