                Hi Folks,
Anyone using any good software to download Yahoo EOD data?  Any recommendations?  I used to use MLDownloader, but experienced errors when downloading.

Anyone can easily use VBA (such as Excel) to get a list of ticker data from the web, "cleaned" and saved to your machine, then execute a shell-script to run the MS Downloader and convert the downloaded data from its text/excel/whatever format to MS formatted data. |

Hi Wabbit, Thanks for your reply.  How are you these days?  I have not been here for years. a) Well, are you taking about the tool like the following:
http://investexcel.net/importing-historical-stock-prices-from-yahoo-into-excel/ There is an error form the worksheet: Runtime error '1004'.  It said it cannot locate the Internet server or proxy server. Anything got wrong?

oops!  it looks like ktstocks quite working recently.  I just received a message from them saying yahoo finance had quite offering EOD data.  I also read somewhere within the last few days that MLdownload'r quit working also (I believe they also use yahoo for their EOD data).    |

Yloader is working despite the Yahoo Finance changes. It is a free download that creates text file output that can be used in Metastock 15 via Custom Lists to work with Local Data such as the text files that Yloader creates. |
