MetaStock version 18 introduced the ability to add and save custom settings to individual indicators, lines studies, and text. To save a setting as the default, follow the steps below:
MetaStock v18 --> Current - Open MetaStock.
- From the Power Console, select the Charts button.
- Open the desired chart.
- Type in the instrument using the Instrument(s) field at the top.
- Select instrument using Custom Online Data Lists or Public Online Data Lists.
- Select local data instrument using Local Data Lists.
- Plot the desired indicator (for example, from the Indicator QuickList on the top of MetaStock, select Bollinger Bands).
- Double click, or right-click and select Properties, if already plotted.
- Make the desired changes (change the values, color or transparency, etc.).
- To save these values as the default, click the Defaults button.
- Select Save current page as default.
- Click OK.
