How to disable auto-update of Instrument Lists in MetaStock?

Starting with MetaStock 17 you have the ability to Auto-update the Instrument Lists in MetaStock. To disable this option, follow the steps below:

MetaStock v17 --> Current

  1. Open MetaStock
  2. Open the Tools menu
  3. Select Options
  4. Select the General tab
  5. Uncheck the option to Update public lists
  6. Click OK
