I get this error "Security not found" since a couple of days.

I download my quotes and convert them via downloadcenter. I wanted to cleanup securities and I deleted all securities in the directory where download center converts them to. I did this from the open dialog.
I then redownloaded/converted the securities I wanted (which overlaps with the original list of securities).

As of then I get the "Security not found" whenever I want to open a security, from that dialog I can Retry or Cancel. If I retry I get the same error again, if I cancel (sometimes 2 times) I get the security displayed properly.

What I also did in the meantime is to make a new directory for my securities and start over in there (changing the output directory in download center), but I keep getting the same error.

Any advice is appreciated.

Regards,
Sven

Doesn't sound like you are pointed to the correct folder.
Double check all your data paths.

Data Paths? Where do you set those... I just use the downloader to add data to securities. And I get the error when I open a security with File/Open in MetaStock.

I also know the data is there, as I press cancel the correct data will appear, so it's not that the data cannot be found.

I've been playing a bit more with it and what's also curious is that when I use File/Open but select "open with template" I don't get the error.

Sven
