Ok - so I am reading July's Wired Mag and they have this article about the terrapass... which is basically a sticker that you buy based upon your cars 'green-ness' - 80ish for SUV's - and the money gets invested in renewable energy projects and credits. The credits are traded through local brokers on the new Chicago Climate Exchange. This lets consumers participate in the emissions trading system that was established in 1990... I guess that until now, the Chicago Climate Exchange has been off-limits to everyone except registered traders... now the terrapass aggregates the money, allowing consumers to participate in the market. http://www.terrapass.com/ What do you guys think of this?? I am thinking of buying one even though I have a tiny, fuel efficient car.. :) M
