In the San Diego Users group, discussion surfaced, claiming a new Metastock program, with whole new format, much improved, more details, unlike the current one which has frequent updates. is this true...is there a new program coming out...when, if yes...or is one in the dev. stage. 2nd question: are there other dynamite programs out there with equally developed programs for stock study, and interaction. What titles would these be. I like Metastock, and realize the evolution of improvement takes time, and collaboration...and constant...a reply would be appreciated. Thanks...RetiredMan1

<hopping on political soap box> Our current MetaStock program generally has an upgrade every 18 months to 2 years (forgive me if I am off slightly - I have only been here for the last 16 months). And in between those there can be one or two 'fixes' but those are usually free bug fix sort of things. Honestly I think most software tends to have a lifecycle of about 18 months - 2 years. I guess we (the public) have gotten used to that as common practice plus there are always better and more fabulous ways of doing things. </hopping off political soap box> oz_pdt_02w

Soapbox hopping????? LOL! Is that a spectator sport? BTW, in reference to your previous reply, wouldn't it be a marketing soapbox and not a political soapbox :? Seriously, MS version 9 is the first release that I've used. I love it. My thoughts were what "frequent updates"? I haven't run into any glitches. I didn't realize that the comment was regarding version releases. I already assumed that major changes in versions weren't and shouldn't be frequent. UserPostedImage
