Is there any way to PRINT a forum topic? When I try it, text is cut off at the right side. --Johnathan

As noone's computer is exactly the same; although there are many ways to achieve your aim, I believe the simplest is to select the text in the Forum that you want to print, then copy it into NotePad, WordPad, Word or similar and print it from there. If you want a more detailed answer, please provide details, including versions, of your operating system and browser wabbit :D

Am using WinXP & IE 6. In "Formula Assistance", the Sticky "MACD Collection" won't print right, no matter what I try. Thought there might be a "print thread" or "print page" option in the forum. --Johnathan

Sorry, no PRINT feature with our phpBB forum. I use Wabbit's method listed above. There are at least a few other methods I can think of (e.g., screen capture), but none more simple. Hayseed lists a good alternative... never thought of it. If your margins are out of wack, try setting the print margins in Internet Explorer. FILE | PAGE SETUP.

Much of the decision on how to layout the printing is done between the operating system, the application and the print driver. There are too many combinations for a simple solution to permanently solve the problem, but here is a few more thoughts that might help. There are a couple of things you can try. Other than pressing Ctrl-A to select the entire page and cut&paste it into another document, try: Selecting just the text and graphic components from the forum. Use your mouse to highlight select the bits you want printed, then right click in the highlighted are to display the shortcut menu, and select print. From the print options you can select to print the entire document (no) the current page (no) or the selected text (yes). You try printing to file, and doing a little reformatting there. To print to a file, there are a number of choices. In IE when you print to file from the print options dialog box, you print to a special type of file called a .prn file. Don't get me wrong, these files have their uses, but they are few and far between for most users. A lot more friendly and a lot more useful is the ability to print to another type of file, say a text file, or rtf file, or a PDF. To install a virtual printer driver that will allow you to print to a text file, follow the instructions at http://support.microsoft...=kb;en-us;308579&sd=tech To print to an rich-text format file, or a PDF then you will need a different option. There are many commercial packages and some free ones. Commercial packages: http://www.eprintdriver.com/ePrintFilePrinter.html http://www.amyuni.com/en...rtf_converter/index.html http://www.print-driver....virtual-print-driver.htm http://www.cutepdf.com/ Free: https://sourceforge.net/...files.php?group_id=57796 http://www.go2pdf.com/product.html These virtual printer drivers are rea;;y handy things for doing all sorts of other tasks. They might not solve this immediate problem, but I guarantee you that once you start printing to all sorts of different files and the like, you find these tools invaluable! Hope this helps. wabbit :D
