1. Open MetaStock.
2. From the Power Console, select the Charts button. 
3. Select the desired instrument, or multiple instruments, from a custom online list or a public online list from the Instruments pane (bottom, left). Check the box next to the list name to select an entire list, or double-click to open a list and check the boxes next the desired instruments.
4. Select the amount of data to load from the right pane. 
5. Select Open chart or press Enter.
6. There are two way to plot an indicator onto the open chart.
   • From the Indicator Quicklist drop down menu select the indicator, then drag/drop the indicator into the chart (To drop the indicator into it's own window, drop it onto the title bar of the chart).
   • From the Insert menu select Indicators, from the Indicators dialog select the indicator (left pane) to insert into the chart, from the right pane select the location in which to display the indicator onto the chart.  Select Ok. 
7. If the selected indicator has properties that are to be set, the Properties dialog will display, set the properties, and select Ok to plot the indicator. 

MetaStock v12

1. Open MetaStock.
2. From the Power Console, select the Charts button.
3. Highlight the exchange group and check the instrument(s) of the charts to be opened and select Next. 
4. Set in the appropriate options in the Charts Options dialog and select Open Chart...
5. There are two way to plot an indicator onto the open chart.
   • From the Indicator Quicklist drop down menu select the indicator, then drag/drop the indicator into the chart (To drop the indicator into it's own window, drop it onto the title bar of the chart).
   • From the Insert menu select Indicators, from the Indicators dialog select the indicator (left pane) to insert into the chart, from the right pane select the location in which to display the indicator onto the chart.  Select Ok. 
6. If the selected indicator has properties that are to be set, the Properties dialog will display, set the properties, and select Ok to plot the indicator.

MetaStock v11

1. Open MetaStock. 
2. From the File menu select Open. 
3. Open the chart(s).
   • If working with online data select the Datalink button, drill into the desired folders, highlight instrument(s) and select open.
   • If working with local data select the Local Data button, browse to the desired folder, highlight instrument(s) and select open. 
4. There are two way to plot an indicator onto the open chart.
   • From the Indicator Quicklist drop down menu select the indicator, then drag/drop the indicator into the chart (To drop the indicator into it's own window, drop it onto the title bar of the chart).
   • From the Insert menu select Indicators, from the Indicators dialog select the indicator (left pane) to insert into the chart, from the right pane select the location in which to display the indicator onto the chart.  Select Ok.
