can EOD be set-up to give alerts when criteria is met?
When I go to Tools>Options>Alerts I can't to enter my email address, the email field. Why is that?

Hi,
This feature was primarily intended for MetaStock Pro / Realtime. It does function in End-of-Day as well but you would not get much value from it because it primarily works off of live data feeding into a chart with an expert advisor attached.
You must have a 32-bit Full MAPI compliant mail application installed and configured on your PC in order to use the feature. A free example of this would be Mozilla Thunderbird. This would likely be why you are unable to enter an email address into the Tools>Options>Alerts field.
With MetaStock 12 and later, much of the codebase was merged between Pro and End-of-Day, so this feature began showing up in End-of-Day as well. Edited by user Wednesday, April 1, 2015 4:10:40 PM(UTC)
