I recently tried to install Metastock 9 for a trial, I tried to instll it but it wouldnt install. I didnt bother with it so tried to reinstall my Metastock 8 pro. Hower ever I keep getting the following error message when installing Metastock 8 Pro or Metastock 7.

Specified module could not be found

c\program files\common files\equis\loaclized recources\ECQCMU190EN.DLL

Internal error could not load.

Any one have any suggestions.

hey andy..... was it a quotecenter version of 9, such as 9.1 , 9.2, or v10 by any chance.....

before you go too far on the uninstall/reinstall , first try to use system restore..... restore to any day prior to the v9 attempt...... if that restores version 8, backup the entire C:\Program Files\equis folder.... the entire folder.....

sounds like you have a partial install of v9 that has not uninstalled..... holler back if still a no go.....h

Thanks I found the solution to the problem via equis support. I had to go into Local Disk C:, Windows, System 32, there is a file called EQNotify.dll. I had to delete this file. Once deleted I was able to reinstall Metastock pro. My databases were safe as I did a backup before installing version 9.

Thank you.
