I am trying to create a new chart using NYSE "C" data. I get a message askign me whether I want to merge duplicate securities and I click yes. I then get an error message saying "End of File" and my choices are "Retry" or "Cancel". When I click retry I get the same message.
If I click "Cancel" and try to access data in the file, I find nothing there.

hey banj13.... i'm not completely understanding what your doing..... are you using the downloader and trying to create a second citigroup , 'c', data sheet from scratch.....
your trying to create a new chart phrase at first sounds like your just opening a second chart in metastock but the error messsages sound like the downloader..... are you using a standard data supplier such as reuters, qc or esignal....
if your just trying to copy the existing citigroup data file but place it in a seperate folder, try the copy function under tools in the downloader.....h
