Is there any way to "enable email subscription" by default?

This is not a desirable global feature. It needs to be handled by each member as they see fit. You have been empowered!

I didn't put that well as well as I could have...

How 'bout you "empower" me with an option to "auto-enable email subscription" whenever I create a post? Since I obviously have enough interest in the thread to write something...and probably want to see the answer(s) and/or reply(ies)?

You're enabled... look in your profile settings. This is where you can customize your own experience. PROFILE | EMAIL | ENABLE EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS
