When I try to update the symbol database using The Downloader, I get :
"Error connecting to http://www.equis.com. Unable to connect to server.
I also can't download any data. I try to download and it just hangs. I tried going to Equis.com and the site is up.
Any Idea what is going on?

OK - it looks like the problem is my anti-virus software.
I am using McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 8.5.0i. When I disable the Access Protection feature, now the downloader works.
Problem solved.
