Hi, Using: Cum(If(Security("online:mmm",C>Ref(C,-1)),1,-1)+ If(Security("folderonmypc:aa",C>Ref(C,-1)),1,-1)+ If(Security("folderonmypc:mo",C>Ref(C,-1)),1,-1)+ If(Security("folderonmypc:ade",C>Ref(C,-1)),1,-1) I can refere to shares within a folder and add up results. Yhis relys on me entering each epic code within the folder, and if theres alot this could take a while. I have thought of a way of using variables and copying the epics to excell, assingning varaibles and pasting back to metastock. Is there away though, of first finding out how many files are in folder, then referencing these files by there position. In other words if theres 100 files(shares) then goto number 1 calculate result then goto number 2 etc. Seems to me this would be quicker. I know this can be done excell macros. Thanks in advance for any advice. Regards Robert
