The NewPosts function in CS is a little different than in phpBB. It is not currently set to automatically zero when you log out and log back in. You can get a list of Unread Posts on the main menu of the Discussions area. I think the ability of CS to "remember" the unread posts is a big plus, not a big problem. I can't tell you how many times I accidentally logged off and then had to hunt down the new posts in phpBB. You can then go to each forum and use the MarkAllRead button to "clear" your list, if desired. Unfortunately, there is no central way to mark all of the forums as read. I understand that it might be a feature of a future CS release.

Note: When you go to one of the forum categories and under "options" click on "Mark All Read" the screen will refresh but the messages are not marked as read until after about a minute. This is because the server needs time to update.
